Miss Shelby Rae Ortega, 20, of La Junta passed away on Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 while in the company of family members at her home.
Shelby was born in La Junta, CO on January 29, 1992, the daughter of Leon Ortega and Diane (Jara) Witt.
Shelby attended schools in the Rocky Ford school system. She loved to be on the computer, watching the cooking channel, Twilight Series, and reading the Bible. She also loved spending time with Cruzer playing board games and the rest of the family.
She attended Community Presbyterian Church Rocky Ford, CO.
She is survived by Her parents; Diane (Rodger) Witt of La Junta; Leon (Luli) Ortega of Rocky Ford; Sister Nicole B. Rosales of Denver, CO; Brother Aaron R. Rosales of Denver, CO; Sister Ashley R. Rosales of Kansas; Brother Cruzer Ortega of La Junta, CO; Grandparents Francie & John Miller of Rocky Ford, CO; Great-Grandmother Irene Lamb of Rocky Ford, CO; Numerous Aunts, Uncles & Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Nellie Jara & John Jara; Leo & Lucille Ortega;
Memorial Service will be at Community Presbyterian Church, Rocky Ford, CO, at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 17th, with Rev. Steve Culver officiating. There will be no viewing as cremation has been effected. Inurnment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO. Memorials may be made to the First National Bank; 402 Colorado, La Junta, CO 81050 or in care of the funeral home.
